Basal Metabolic Rate is the amount of calories consumed by the body without any activity or exercise. The common units are given in calories per day.
Body Composition
The ratio of fat weight to lean body weight. Lean body weight includes non-fat weight, such as bones and muscles. Fat is not all bad &emdash; some is used to protect the body, protect nerves, store some vitamins and keep you insulated from the cold.
