Basal
Metabolic Rate is the amount of calories consumed by
the body without any activity or exercise. The common
units are given in calories per day.
Biceps are the muscles of the upper arm that are often flexed for show. There is no such thing as a bicep. Biceps is latin for a two-headed muscle, as in the two heads that originate the muscle by the shoulder joint on different parts of the scapula and insert on the forearm (mainly the bicipital tuberosity of the radius). The biceps flexes and supinates the forearm at the elbow, and/or flexes (raises) the upper arm at the shoulder.
Body
Composition
The ratio of fat weight to lean body weight. Lean body
weight includes non-fat weight, such as bones and
muscles. Fat is not all bad &emdash; some is used to
protect the body, protect nerves, store some vitamins and
keep you insulated from the cold.
